Static vs dynamic — the core difference
A static code encodes the destination directly, so it's fixed forever. A dynamic code encodes a short link you own, which redirects to any destination you set — and you can change that destination anytime.
Why dynamic codes win for print
Printed a flyer with the wrong link? With a dynamic code you just update the destination — no reprint. You also get scan analytics: how many scans, when, and roughly where.
When a static code is fine
For a one-off WiFi sticker or a personal vCard that will never change, a static code is perfectly fine and works offline forever.
