JPG's advantage is not quality or size — it is that nothing anywhere refuses it. Photo printing services, older email clients, government and university upload forms, legacy point-of-sale systems and countless mobile apps still expect a JPG and will reject a WebP outright. Converting takes one click and produces a file you can hand to anyone without a second thought. Two things to keep in mind: this is a lossy-to-lossy re-encode, so keep quality at 90 or above to avoid stacking artifacts; and JPG has no alpha channel, so any transparency in the WebP is flattened onto white rather than turning black. For anything that stays on the web, the original WebP remains the better file.
